Emily and Paul met on Halloween night when she was dressed as a hippie, but they didn’t actually exchange numbers until they met again at New Year in a nightclub. and they had their first date a few days later.

The engagement came a few years later. They flew to Cancún for a holiday at Hyatt Zilara. They had a beautiful presidential suite on the top floor for the first night. Paul had it arranged that the following morning when Emily stepped onto my balcony and looked down at the beach, she saw a massive sign that had been written out in seaweed “will you marry me Emily”. He had it all planned for months in advance and had already asked for her fathers blessing.

Emily’s dress was a sleek and backless Enzoani gown from Reeta Fashions. The material was a very pale ivory (almost white) and had tiny transparent Jewell beads scattered through it which caught the sunlight beautifully. The straps were spaghetti style and diamante. The diamond trail went right down the back to the fastening. For the day time the dress had an amazing detachable train to give it that little something extra for the vows and then Emily took it off for the evening reception.

The dress was accompanied by white barely there sandals from Office Shoes and an amazing jewelled headpiece and garter from @crayalandpearlbridal. Emily also wore a tennis bracelet that she was surprised with on the wedding morning. She also had a personalised clutch bag with her name on one side and “bride” on the other. The bridesmaids had similar bags.

Emily and Paul always wanted to get married in the sun and had always loved Cyprus. Emily is half Lebanese and still has a lot of family there. With Lebanon being a short plane journey away they knew it would be more accessible for them to attend the big day.

The King Evelthon hotel in Paphos was the first one we went to visit and we fell in love straight away. What sold it the most was the incredible rooftop dining area. It was just breath taking.
